Gross-to-net salary in Vietnam for five income levels: income tax, social contributions, monthly take-home pay and effective rate — plus how Vietnam compares with the US, UK, Germany, Japan and Korea on the same income.

Vietnam quotes salaries as "gross" or "net" in the job ad itself — and a 30 million VND net offer is worth about 36 million gross. The personal deduction rose to 15.5 million/month in 2026, so a first paycheck in Ho Chi Minh City on 20–25 million is close to tax-free.
