Gross-to-net salary in South Korea for five income levels: income tax, social contributions, monthly take-home pay and effective rate — plus how South Korea compares with the US, UK, Germany, Japan and Korea on the same income.

Korean job offers are quoted as annual gross (연봉), but your bank sees twelve monthly deposits after income tax, local tax and the "4 major insurances". The gap is smaller than in Europe — and the 퇴직금 (severance) accrual on top is money most foreigners forget to count.
