Gross-to-net salary in Indonesia for five income levels: income tax, social contributions, monthly take-home pay and effective rate — plus how Indonesia compares with the US, UK, Germany, Japan and Korea on the same income.

Jakarta salaries come with a religious-holiday bonus (THR) equal to one month's pay, and a PTKP allowance of Rp 54 million that keeps most entry-level workers below the 5% band. The TER withholding tables introduced in 2024 changed monthly take-home even for people whose annual tax did not change.
